Brampton Riverwalk, Resiliency, Sustainability, and Healthy Development Strategy
This project builds on the Riverwalk Urban Design Master Plan, which was a transformative project for the City of Brampton, helping to define the culture and identity of the city as well as improving quality of life and wellbeing. Ensuring that sustainability principles are embedded in this project is critical to its integrity and long-term success across environmental, social and economic dimensions. This project constitutes a practical strategy to embed those considerations into the project as it evolves going forward, ensuring it is future proofed against the impacts of climate change, while achieving synergies with GHG reductions, health benefits and ecological restoration, amongst other objectives.
Re:Public, in partnership with SSG and Biohabitats, supported the City of Brampton in developing a Resilience, Sustainability, and Healthy Development Strategy for the Brampton Riverwalk Area.
